Xerocomus sp. (con puntini rosse ?)
Ecco un altro campione da determinare. Questo era in pieno ombra e probabilment molto maturo,

Cap colour Apricot-brown, yellow at fissures, turning brown towards margin (by age)
Cap shape Broadly convex to applanate, very irregular outline
Cap additional description Cap distinctly fissured and cracked and covered with short hair mostly present in fissures.

Stipe colour Pale yellow-ochre
Stipe shape Equal most of its length, widening towards the cap, tapering at the base.
Stipe cross-section Solid
Stipe with glandular dots ? No

Stipe additional description Minutely verticalty striated and with short hairs

Pore layer length 5-6mm
Pore colour Mustard yellow, becoming olive-green with age
Pore arrangement ? Radiating but not distinctly so.

Pore size (n /mm) c. 0.8 - 1.0mm (=1 - 1.5 pores / mm2)
Dark cystidia in pores ? Projections slightly darker from hymenium were observed, but unsure if they are cystidia or basidia.

ciao, secondo Matteo Gelardi con i puntini rossi alla base dello stipe oltre al rubellus c'è anche il X. engelii.
potrebbe anche trattarsi del X.engelii visto la colorazione piu bruniccia che rossastra.

Una volta capite quali siano le differenze (non ho mai letto la descrizione originale di Boletus engelii) dovremmo capire quale dei due sia quello della tavola qui sotto, che non mi sembra molto più rosso di quello di Darniella...

sinceramente dal disegno della tabella potrebbe essere altre specie di Xerocomus o Xerocomellus
manca anche la sezione e i puntini rosso del fittone, la cosa piu importante.
